Good idea, in fact some forums i have belonged to people have to have a certain amount of posts before they can even download/access resources.

That has always been in place. New users have various restrictions until they make 5 posts or I know them then I'll change their membergroup to bypass it. It's mostly to help block spammers and email harvesters.

I had some and redid the forum and never put them back on. LOL
