PDL skin mod
Im getting this error when trying to upload a *.tar game
Directory /home/forum/public_html/Games is not writable and chmod didn't succeed. Please make it writable manually.
The Games dir is set to 755
Any Ideas?

if 755 di not work then it is probably 777 but best to check with your hosting to be sure.
I tried both settings. They said 755 would work.
The error is occurring with the basic 2.5 rc2 arcade installed. I thought it was a pdl/skin update problem.
It works on our old server with apache compiled the same way, but not on the new one.
I thought mod_security might be a problem, but it is on for both builds.
Some of these small problems can really be annoying
Ah! I think the problem is that wrong arcade version. I think the games you are trying to install do not work with the official arcade version, 2.5 RC2.
You may wish to try this one but it will involve uninstalling the old arcade and the pdl mod. But it will work for those types of games:

Turns out the name of the games directory in the database was missing a letter.. Thus it couldn't find or write to it.
all is well now.
