I have another tip that I noticed when shopping at our local supermarket. They normally place the more expensive options at eye level. If you want the cheap stuff, you gotta look up at the very top shelf and that's where they stash the no name brands that are half the price.
Yes, the also put what they want to sell at eye level too. This is especially true of sugary cereals, candy, etc. so kids can see them and you'll buy it for them.
