Nero Ads

If you've used Nero recently (free and some paid versions) you may have noticed annoying ads for premium products near your notifications area. Well, hopefully, this will annoy me no more!

If you look there is no setting to turn this off!  So, after a little digging, I've found that the file that controls this is named "neroinfo.exe". It is in the /Program Files folder. Rename it and this should work. I usually get the ads about once per week. So, I'll give it a week and see if it pops up again.

Alternately, you can probably block it from running using your firewall or antivirus software.

I've not used Nero for some time now, but always liked it... maybe it's time to try it again.
