I've spent a lot of money buying songs from them. They'd better be able to be played on the new app or reimburse me!

I read about that (not an Apple guy)
You would think that is a big money maker for them? Also keeps people using their product?
Been using iTunes for years for the music. A lot of car radios have iTunes in them so you can plugin your iPod, etc. and can play your fav songs. What will happen to that now?
An unfortunate development for all the folks who use iTunes. I've never used the service, but according to Google there are nearly 800 million iTunes accounts and that makes it curious as to why they would close up something so widely used. Surely it must be making a profit?
Here's what's going to happen in the link below. They are killing iTunes which is a pay-per-song or album service for a monthly subscription streaming service. Imo, they will lose a lot of customers and force other services to replace them. The do repeat that you will not lose the songs you've already purchased, etc.

The article makes it sound not so bad, from the perspective of someone who is not using the service of course.
