Back a few years ago one of my favorite political commentators was Keith Olbermann (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_Olbermann). He would routinely have on guests who would preach about the privacy loss as more and more spying was being conducted by companies and the government.
So, all those far out there conspiracy theory's from 12-15 years ago seem to be coming true! :(
I think its less about conspiracy and more about money.
They either use the information themselves to make money or sell it to others and make money. ............I saw all that coming years ago.
