The company I am building this forum I am building this forum for;  Has been using Wordpress and has a slew of posts...a few hundred, I think.

Can I transfer them in bulk to SMF?

Thanks all.Thanks Skhilled!

I do not think there is a converter for WP to SMF. WP is a blog not a forum. You can generally convert forum to forum and blog to blog but not blog to forum or vice versa that I am aware of. There used to be a bridge that integrated them but it is no longer supported.

Is it not possible to get that old script, and update it?  If there is already a ground work laid for this;  could it not be a viable resource?

I might even be able to get funding for the code update.

You are talking apple and oranges here. The coding for forums and blogs are in different formats as well as how the info is stored in the databases. It is possible to do this but would need to be done by a very competent coder who is very familiar with both SMF and WP. Very few people have been willing in the past to even try to attempt this. And of those people who did it, they have abandoned their work about 2 years ago...at SMF and at WP. It is possible to be done with older versions of SMF and WP but then you'd have to downgrade SMF and WP to whatever compatible versions that are used for both integrations which would also be a ton of work in itself.

If you ask over in the Paid Help section of SMF it may be possible that someone would do it but I doubt unless you're willing to pay a lot.
