I'll be moving to Squidix very soon:

https://squidix.com

I'm just waiting for them to move everything from this hosting (A Small Orange) to the new one. It's Sunday so they may not get to it until tomorrow and there's a lot of things to move so it may take a little while.

There should be very little or no downtime at all. If there is I'll let you all know.

Looks like the move is complete but lost two posts. LOL No big deal...

I think one of those would be my reply to your first post, as you say no big deal.

I only said I use www.justhost.com for my sites

Skhilled

Yeah, I think they started moving everything before just before that. LOL

I'm not sure if you saw my reply but that hosting is owned by the EIG Group. They buy up hosting companies then the services tanks a lot! This is what happened the the hosting I just left. If you do a search for reviews for that hosting or for EIG you'll see what I mean. You can read about it here:

A Small Orange and Other Web Hosting

Edit: Oooops! I forgot to mention that Let's Encrypt SSL Certificate (free!) is now installed here! :)

davejo

I haven't seen those reviews, I have been using them now for a good 2 years if not longer. Not had any issues at all with them or the service they provide.

Skhilled

Yes, that isn't to say that some people will have little or no problems but I've been hearing a lot of bad things about them. And I've used a lot of their servers or used them while helping people.

Anyways, so far so good. I did have to change the link for the image on the home page from http to https. Other than that everything seems to work with Let's Encrypt perfectly!

EDIT: And also had to do the same for my avy and sig. LOL

Skhilled

Ok, the hosting screwed up then I screwed up! LOL I think it's safe to come out and play now. LOL

??? Hey Doc I'm getting this message when logging in here Bro [ This information is being sent over an unsecure connection and could be viewed by a third party ] ... I never had that before , what do you think my Friend ?

Skhilled

That is because you may have updated your browser for the new HTTPS version. You may also be viewing the HTTP version of this site instead of the HTTPS version. This is something that will happen for all sites that do not use HTTPS and do not have an SSL certificate. I have installed the free Let's Encrypt SSL certificate about a week ago.

Today, I've added code to my .htaccess file to force everything to be viewed as HTTPS!  :cool2:
